Hello everyone,

I hunt here in the area around Mansfield, Ohio.  We have been getting lot's of pictures on the trail cams, of groups of bucks hanging out together.

I have seen 2-3 together, but, I am talking as many as 6 bucks at one time together !

These deer are ranging in size from spikes to the one we call big boy. He is a ten pointer of about 4 years of age. The rest of them are 6's and 8 pointers.

Is this a common thing?  For them to stay grouped together, at least till the rut starts?

It's not uncommon at all for "big" bucks to hand together even into the rut.   Sometimes the "luv bug" doesn't bite them until they see what's going on! 

The night before opening season last year in November, one of our hunters had 8 bucks around his feeder!
